Chris Dessi managing partner from Drive Action Digital gave a presentation to Loyola students and faculty on social media. Dessi, who doesn’t consider himself an expert, definitely knows the tricks of the trade when it comes to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
The Loyola alum encouraged students to be the “CEO of your own company” He emphasized being creative, fearless, and to get excited about finding a job. Dessi suggested not to wait until graduation to begin the job search, use your resources, connections, and social media to start the hunt now.
Here are a few of Dessi’s tips:
1. Create content- be personal
2. Be fearless
3. Be discoverable
5. Your interview isn’t your first impression. Use social media to show your potential employer who you are, what you know, and what you can offer.
