We decided after a busy week at work that we really needed a team outing. So we ventured out for an office lunch break and headed down to Harbor East and stopped to eat at Taco Fiesta.
Harbor East is definitely changing. With a ton of construction and improvements going on the place had a completely different feel than it used to. Eclectic shops are going in under luxury condos and with everything being so close to the water’s edge it makes for a peaceful shopping and dining experience. The stores offer upscale items that are definitely unique, but completely fashionable (and one day when we win the lottery these are the stores we will be dying to shop in.)
Taco Fiesta is not your typical Mexican fare. It’s like Three Brothers in its delivery – place your order, take your seat, get food delivered – Don Pablos in quantity – huge platters for lunch brimming with rice, beans, and your favorite Mexican entree – but like nothing else in taste. With their unique selections of salsas, and fresh menu items, Taco Fiesta provides a delicious meal for any Mexican lover. The rice was perfectly seasoned and was actually hot on arrival which was a pleasant surprise, while our quesadilla was melty just the way we like it. And those corn chips – mmm! (Now we know there are a million different types of corn chips, but with the crisp flavor and the non-overkill of salt, these were the perfect dipping addition to our guacamole addiction) They also feature bar drinks, which makes this a great little place to go after work.
Now the prices were a little high, ($9 for a platter) but with the amount of food you get and the actual taste of it, we’d say this is a spot to splurge on every once in awhile.
